April 10, 2013: Diehl Steel has installed a new plate mill that allows the company to custom machine steel material up to 30 inches wide by 50 inches long by 12 inches in height. The 20 inch cutting head eliminates the ridges that occur from smaller diameter cutters.
January 3, 2013: Diehl Steel is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. David Flynn as its new Production Manager. Mr. Flynn will be responsible for managing day-to-day production at the company’s Cincinnati, Ohio facility.
November 29, 2012: Diehl Steel stocks and sells a wide variety of grades of CPM powder metal tool steel designed for customer’s most demanding applications. The CPM process produces more highly alloyed grades of steel which cannot be produced by conventional steelmaking.
November 27, 2012: Diehl Steel has introduced Ready-Block EDM Blanks for EDM applications. The ready-to-use blanks are pre-hardened, squared and ground at Diehl Steel, eliminating the need for customers to machine and heat-treat them prior to use. They are available in many popular tool steel grades.
October 22, 2012: D-2 air hardening tool steel from Diehl Steel is a versatile high-carbon, high-chromium, air-hardening tool steel characterized by a relatively high attainable hardness and a microstructure of numerous, large chromium rich allow carbides. These carbides provide good resistance for sliding contact and abrasive materials.
